We usually think of tea as a hot beverage and associate it with cold winter days. As summer and increasingly warm days approach, we need something refreshing and cold . This is the perfect time to try preparing tea with COLD WATER!

Yes, tea can also be prepared with cold water. The only real difference is the steeping time. Cold-brewing tea can be described as a slow-motion version of the standard hot-waterpreparation method. With hot water, it is very important not to exceed the recommended steeping time because the tea can become bitter. Cold steeping eliminates this concern. Simply place the leaves of your chosen tea in a bottle or teapot, pour in room-temperature water, and leave it in the refrigerator.
Black tea: 8–12 hours; green and white tea: 6–8 hours; oolong: 8–10 hours; pu-erh: 10–12 hours.

This is an excellent method for summer days . Place the leaves of your chosen tea in a bottle, add water, and take it out of the refrigerator in the morning. As you drink your teaduring the day, simply refill the bottle with water and continue enjoying a refreshing, healthy beverage.
A little secret: if you do not have time, use hot water for the first infusion so the leaves open more quickly. Use cold water for the next infusion, and you will not have to wait six to eight hours for a cold drink.
