Jasmine green tea has been reserved for imperial families since the Song Dynasty in 960. The scent of jasmine flowers promotes relaxation and reduces stress. Combining the health benefits of green tea and jasmine flowers, it has been loved by imperial families for hundreds of years in China, as it stimulates appetite and digestion, reduces anxiety and has a positive effect on the skin.

China’s best jasmine green teas are produced in Fujian Province. Jasmine flowers are grown at high altitudes in the mountains in the eastern and northern parts of the province. When preparing green tea with jasmine, the leaves are carefully mixed with fresh flowers that will open and give their scent to the tea. In the morning, the flowers are removed and the procedure is repeated the same evening. This is repeated for several nights in a row, until the tea master balances the aroma properly.
